Vice President Human Resources – China (Mandarin speaking)

One of the premier hospitality companies in South East Asia, who own, manage and franchise luxury, historical and mid range hotels in Asia, Europe and the USA seeks a Vice President Human Resources based in Shanghai.

The ideal candidate will oversee the human resources main functions of identifying, hiring, developing, and retaining employees for peak performance and bringing out the best in people.  This person must have solid administrative skills, innovative training ability and a very hands-on, people-oriented approach.

As this is a newly formed division, a Senior HR Executive familiar with company start ups, branding, preparing job descriptions, company profile, etc. would be an advantage.  It would be beneficial to have recruitment experience in South East Asia, particularly in China and solid understanding of working with Asian and other international cultures.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
Fluent in English and Mandarin.
Experience in China in a similar capacity or Director’s level.
Diploma/Degree/Professional Qualifications in Hotel Management.
A proven track record with a stable career history.
A high profile with extensive experience in Human Resources in large scaled operations of 4-5 star hotels in Asia.
Thorough knowledge of hotel’s operating policies and standards.
Knowledge of local / international economic / political developments.
Ability to co-ordinate functions into efficient and coherent operation.
Ability to report to superior on all operational matters.

Salary is competitive and is subject to the candidate’s experience

Vice President Human Resources – Pakistan

Our client in Pakistan requires a Vice President Human Resources to provide leadership and coordination of company Human Resource functions and develops and implement corporate Human Resource strategy and programs.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

Create company strategic recruitment and selection plan.
Coordinate company equal opportunity programs to achieve diversity goals.
Create company strategic training and organizational development plan to meet personal, professional, and organizational needs of company employees.
Oversee compensation programs to ensure regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels.
Oversee the design and development of compensation strategy and programs.
Direct the administration of benefit programs to include: health, retirement, death, disability, and unemployment.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefit programs.
Coordinate the administration and negotiation of union contracts.
Develop and coordinate grievances and mediate workplace disputes.
Evaluate procedures and technology solutions to improve human resources data management.
Recommend and maintain an organizational structure and staffing levels to accomplish company goals and objectives.
Evaluate company culture and provide recommendations on changes to accomplish company goals and objectives.
Evaluate and recommend human resource outsourcing opportunities and identify potential vendors.
Develop and manage annual budgets for the division and perform periodic cost and productivity analyses.
Recommend and establish company policies and procedures.

Preference will be given to candidates trained and educated in Pakistan due to the clients you will be dealing with on a daily basis.
