Area Director of Engineering (2 positions) – Asia

A leading upscale resort owner, developer and operator of a number of highly acclaimed and multiple award-winning resorts and spas throughout the region is now seeking enthusiastic and qualified individuals to fill up the position in Asia.

Requirements:

•           Relevant Professional qualification or a Masters Degree / Bachelor’s Degree
•           Minimum 5 years of experience as a Director of Engineering
•           Sound competence & technical knowledgeable in Engineering related disciplines and practices
•           Knowledge of Engineering Practices in a 5-star hospitality setting
•           Understanding of Computer Information Systems
•           Fully conversant with all aspects and health and safety, fire and emergency procedures
•           Able to lead & motivate a team of individuals
•           Able to thrive in a fast paced environment and to complete and enroll projects
•           Ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and integrity at all times, whether in appearance or in dealing with others

Area Director of Engineering China Requirements:

- Candidate based in Lijiang, China, quite a remote location
- Requires Chinese nationality

Area Director of Engineering Indonesia Requirements:

- Candidate based in Bintan, Indonesia quite a remote location

Salary: $6000 to $6500 USD

Director of Engineering – Kuwait

Our client a luxury 5* Hotel in Kuwait is currently looking for a Director of Engineering for their new opening hotel.  The ideal candidate will bring with them a luxury 5* hotel background, preferred with resort experience, pre-opening experience and also Middle East experience.

They will be responsible for co-coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the Engineering Department, to ensure that the property and assets are maintained in the highest order and the appointment of suitable competent personnel and develop strategies for the future growth of the engineering department and the resort.

Prepare comprehensive budgets and forecasts to ensure the efficient and cost effective operation of the department. Ensure property is maintained in accordance with the management system, this includes the Fire, Life and Safety Matrix, PPM and work order system. Ensure an effective communication process is in place for engineering department so issues are resolved and ideas shared, also ensure all Capital projects are conducted in line with company policy and see that the engineering department complies with all health and safety requirement and be a member of the SBU’s occupational health and safety committee.

Implement effective energy management strategy to ensure property utilizes energy as efficiently as possible and reduces wastage. Advise Group Engineering on local code changes to ensure compliance and also be required to perform other duties that management may from time to time reasonably require

Qualification:

Formal qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering & Diploma in Project Management Preferred 10years general engineering experience, with a min of 5 years in management.

Experience in Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) System and Building Management Systems (BMS)

Salary: USD $64,000 plus full expat package
