Food and Beverage Manager – Maldives

Our client who owns and operates several beautiful properties in Maldives and Asia is currently seeking a strong Food & Beverage Manager (a department head post, reporting to the GM) for one of their beautiful properties in Maldives.  This property includes more than 65 units, specialty restaurants, bars, private dining area, and health facilities.

He/she must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a luxury resort operations and management as Food and Beverage Manager. 

The successful candidate will possess excellent revenue and cost management knowledge and is bottom line focused with strong control system and an eye for details. He/she will set and strive to achieve high personal performance standards. Plans, organizes and uses a systematic approach to get things done, and manages time and resources effectively.

You must possess excellent communication and leadership skills. The individual will be an effective trainer and have a passion for food & beverage.

Salary is between US$3,000 to US$4,500 (depending on the candidate’s strengths and experience).

Single or married status is preferred (if spouse is qualified then client will engage him/her in a suitable post as well). This is a 2 year contract.

Sommelier - Signature Restaurant -Dubai 

Our client a leading 5* Hotel in Dubai is currently looking for an experienced Sommelier for their Signature Fine Dining Restaurant.

The Sommelier will be responsible for preparing the wine list for the Restaurant with the assistance of the management, ensure that wines are maintained in good condition, responsible for ordering and the inventories of wines. Will serve and assist clients in their wine selection and use appropriate equipment.

The ideal candidate should have the Advanced WSET certification and at least 2 years experience in fine dining up market restaurants. Must be able to sell and have extensive wine knowledge in both New World and European Wines. Will make recommendations on the cellar and how it might be improved.

Salary: US $33,000 plus expat package.

Director Of Food & Beverage – Caribbean

Caribbean experience mandatory

A hands on Food & Beverage professional is required by our client for their two seafront properties in the Caribbean, both over 300 rooms, offering fine dining variations that include restaurants, bar & grills, cafes and recreational facilities for the entire family.  One is an all inclusive resort and the other an internationally branded 5 star non all inclusive resort.  These individuals must not be new comers to the Caribbean. 

This person will lead the F&B operations, be very hands on and service focused. They must have the expertise in upgrading the F&B facilities to the next level.  The ideal candidate will direct and organize the activities of the food and beverage department to maintain high standards in quality, service and merchandising in order to maximize profits.

Our client wishes to hire a person with high level of passion for the industry and someone who has a 'no-problem' attitude.  Previous experience as a Food and Beverage Manager or Director with a resort in the Caribbean is essential along with impeccable service standards.  Team development skills and innovation are also important for this position. 

Salary: US$ 4,750 net per month, plus bonus on the yearly salary.  Plus accommodation is provided.

Chief Steward – Caribbean

Our client, a 5-star luxury property in the Caribbean, with extensive food and beverage and banqueting outlets is seeking an energetic, passionate Executive Chief Steward.

The Executive Chief Steward is responsible for overseeing the entire operation of the stewarding department. He/she will have direct and effective communication with all hotel departments, particularly within the Food & Beverage division. He will report to the Executive Chef.

The successful individual that we are seeking should have excellent experience with unions, familiar with environmental programs and understanding of budget and budget controls. He/she must have a warm, engaging and outgoing personality and be extremely effective at relationship team building with a keen eye for detail and is totally guest satisfaction driven.

Must be results oriented, very organized, highly motivated and able to work under pressure and have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities include maintaining the smooth operation of the Stewarding Department, maximizing labor efficiency, ensuring safe working conditions and keeping the highest standards of sanitation. 

Ideally you should have 5 year supervisory experience in a major food and beverage facility, particularly in the stewarding department as well as having a College or University background in hospitality management is preferred.

Salary for this progressive management position would be $64,000/- with a performance bonus and outstanding company benefits and offers an excellent chance of personal development and career advancement. Also included is a one bedroom accommodation near the Hotel.

Food & Beverage Director – Middle East

This luxury 5* hotel part of a luxury group that owns and operates over a dozen independent hotels and resorts across North America and Mexico and currently developing numerous international properties in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, U.S.A., the Caribbean, Mexico and Bermuda, seeks a mature and experienced Director of Food & Beverage who will take on the role as Executive Assistant Manager within 6 months. Middle East experience is mandatory.

This individual will be responsible for the entire F&B operation, with strengths in back of the house, health & hygiene and ideally have some kitchen background. The role involves managing and achieving of profit and quality for the food & beverage operations. The individual will be a hands-on professional with a solid food & beverage background and the passion for quality and excellence. He/she must be creative and eager to share a desire to achieve highest quality service standards with guests and team members. Salary will be in the range of $4,500-5,500 US net plus other benefits.

Experience in 5 star hotel industry with previous experience in Middle East with International Hotel Chain
Arabic speaker would be a plus.

Director of Food & Beverage – Caribbean

This stunning resort in the Caribbean is seeking a mature and experienced Director of food and beverage. The ideal person should have at least 5 years experience working with 5* resorts and currently in such a role. You will spear head the F&B operation at this resort, possess the skills to achieve expected bottom line profit margins and must be "on the floor" supporting the F&B team. Additionally, he/she must be able to think creatively to implement and "drive" successful marketing initiatives. You must be customer and business oriented, be a strong leader, define, implement & maintain the highest standards of guest service; ensure proper follow-up to attain maximum quality and efficiency and must also be actively involved in executing revenue strategies and sales initiatives and keeps aware of trends, systems, practices and equipment in Food and Beverage.

You will be required to promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy and an extremely high standard of social skills.  Achieve guest satisfaction and organizational profitability through effective utilization of all resources. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, energetic, keen, personable and self-motivated and someone who excels in service and strives for quality and excellence. 

Salary - $65K-75K US plus live-in accommodation and other expatriate benefits.

Dining Room Manager/Chief Steward – Toronto, Ontario, Canada

A well established Private Club in Toronto is seeking an outstanding Dining Room Manager/Chief Steward with excellent fine dining service knowledge and exceptional customer service skills and to manage the Club Dining Room.

The Dining Room Manager/Chief Steward shall report to the Club Services Manager and shall be responsible for the planning and delivery of all dining and beverage services as well as to assist with the Club’s sponsored events, member sponsored events and member hosted business and private events at the Club.  

Responsible for hiring, training and supervising servers to ensure high service standards including efficient and courteous service as expected from a fine dining establishment. Maintain proper staffing levels to accommodate service demands, maintain discipline, motivation, proper work habits, food cost and payroll cost. Will have no problem or issues working split shifts for lunch and dinner service 4 out of 5 days per week.

Assists staff during busy periods, ensures that servers are knowledgeable about menu offerings and food preparation and ingredients. Greets and interacts with members in a courteous and professional manner, assigns tables, assists members in choosing their meals and work closely with the Executive Chef with in house food promotion.  Deal with special requests, handle complaints and assist members in choosing wines from a well stocked cellar.

Responsible for the smooth running of special functions such as large parties: its logistics including table configuration and set up, dealing with conveners, assisting with formalities, coordinating meal service. Assists members with special events, selecting menus, appropriate venue for the event, oversees the function from start to finish ensuring that a high level of service is provided throughout the event.

Knowledgeable in the operation of the POS and computer Systems. Responsible for imputing menu items and prices in the System. Responsible for keeping all servers trained in the use of the POS System, opens and closes meal shifts and taken reports. Ensures that all member accounts are correct and present to accounting each day.

You should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the hospitality service industry. Excellent “French Service” experience and comfortable dealing with high end banqueting and events in a club setting.  Must have effective verbal and written communications skills with strong solving and customer service skills including tact and diplomacy

Food and Beverage Director – Morocco

Our client in Morocco, an award winning first class international hotel company requires a Food & Beverage Director.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the complete Food & Beverage operation, the planning and management of the front of house operation. He/she must be service oriented, extremely hands on with the ability to achieve the highest customer satisfaction and quality service.

Requirements:

5 star deluxe experience, should know the region well and local labour laws

Our client, a new opening 5-star hotel in Algeria requires a Banquet Manager.

The Banquet Manager will a high energy, flexible and well organized individual.  This position will be responsible for managing staff and operations of the Banquet Floor to ensure that the cleanliness, logistic and aesthetics of Banquet rooms is up to Catering & Events standards and providing all banquet guests with exemplary service to ensure repeat business. As leader of the operation team, he/she will be providing guidelines and procedures to ensure a perfect banquet service in all time.

Responsibilities will include Guest Services, Human Resources, including hiring, training and maintaining levels of staff as well as scheduling and evaluations.  This position also requires overseeing the planning of catered events/functions.  Supervise and assist during events; giving instructions to Banquet Supervisor and Banquet Servers to ensure that all guest needs are met.

The candidate should speak French language.

Salary: $38,232 USD Net plus full expatriate package.

Beverage Manager - United Arab Emirates

Our client, an International 5-star luxury deluxe business hotel in the UAE with over six upscale F&B outlets requires an experienced Beverage Manager to join the Pre-opening Food and Beverage team.

As the Beverage Manager for the hotel, you will be required to:

Create and develop beverage menus for the various F&B outlets.
Meet with suppliers and maintain high level of ethics while being seen as a strong negotiator.
Be responsible for the overall beverage cost control in the hotel and provide solutions if and when required.
Have a very strong understanding of costing/pricing strategies and be able to produce clear electronic supporting documents.
Train a team of bartenders to the highest beverage production and presentation standards.
Monitor consistency of all beverages and design focused training plans where needed.
Ensure the entire F&B team has a thorough beverage knowledge in general and strong sales skills.
Analyze beverage sales on a regular basis and introduce initiatives to increase revenue opportunities.
Be seen on the floor with the team and be considered as a role model in increasing guest satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS:

At least 3-5 years progressive experience in trendy bars and/or hotels known for their creative beverage offerings.
At least 1 year of that experience should be in an international, five star bar-restaurant or hotel environment and you should have been recognized for your mixology skills.
Your communication skills will be excellent, not only within your department but throughout the Hotel.
