Senior Management Opportunities

Club General Manager – Kenya

Our client, a well known Private Business Club will be branching out to Kenya and requires a Dynamic General Manager.

Responsibilities:

All elements of the property’s financial management, operations and staff in accordance with the approved business plan, management and license agreements.
Executive member of all committees and shall attend all board and committee meetings, unless directed otherwise.
Employment of all non-management employees, and with the approval, all management level employees.
Entire operation including but not limited to: financial performance, membership sales, food quality and service, membership, the use and condition of all facilities, the rental of rooms, the annual budget, member satisfaction, functions, staffing and community relations.
Available at such times as is necessary for the GM to carry out his or her responsibilities including evenings.
Budgeting and planning for the operation.

Salary Details:

Basic salary: $7,000
Accommodation allowance or type of accommodation provided: $2,000
Mobile allowance - as per actual on local calls
Transportation allowance: $1,000
Education allowance: $1,250 monthly
Net in hand tax free: $120,000 per year
Medical and life insurance, annual flight ticket and bonus

Hotel Manager (Rooms) – Malaysia

Our client, is a leading 5* Resort Hotel in Malaysia. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic Hotel Manager with a Rooms background, to oversee the Rooms operations and the daily hotel operations of this hotel.

Responsible for short and long term planning and day to day operation of the rooms including Rooms, Housekeeping, Laundry, Front Office, Guest Relations, Concierge and telephone operator & Spa. Recommend budget and manage expenses within approved budget and participate in the Hotel Management.

Responsible to improve and develop the standards of the rooms and the performance of the staff related to his areas.
Handling the guests comment and complaints and resolve it in a appropriate manner to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality .

To coordinate with the Sales & Marketing department and reservation the occupancy percentage and forecasting to achieve the revenue budget as well as to coordinate with the tour leaders and groups all the requirements for the guests as per contracts.
Reports directly to the General Manager. The destination should not be underestimated and we need someone who knows top end hotel brands, is creative, flexible and very hands on.

Qualification:

Two or three years in similar position in 5* luxury hotel or resort.
International experience, preferred is island experience or hardship destination.

Salary: US$ net plus expat, single status only.

Vice President/Owners Representative – United Arab Emirates

We are looking for a Vice President/Owners Rep for a Hotel Company in the UAE. The ideal candidate must bring with him a proven 4* / 5* hotel background and have ideally have worked multi unit or in a similar role.

Reporting to the Board of Director the person will be responsible for the operational aspects of all the current hotel assets under the companies control and work closely with the companies senior management, to ensure that:

Assets are properly managed to achieve the group’s business objectives
Assets are maintained and operated to ensure optimum profits and investment gain
All assets are operated in compliance and adherence to any management agreements
Oversee the new openings of 2 upcoming hotels
Be the person who all General Managers report to about budgets, operations etc.

REQUIREMENTS:

A proven background with 10 years experience in senior management role – with opening experience.
Strong operations background, either multi unit or VP role.
Be hands on and very operations & development orientated.
More than 10 years experience in an operations multifunctional environment ideally with Middle East or Asian experience.
Analytical Thinking, High Level Communication, Facilitation, Financial Management, Negotiating, Planning and Organizing, Presentation Skills, Project Management, Technical Functional Knowledge, Written Communication.
Ability to efficiently establish an appropriate course of action for self and/or others, to accomplish a specific goal, make proper assignments of personnel, and appropriate use of resources – includes effective and efficient prioritization of work assignments.
Middle East experience mandatory.
English and German language mandatory.

US $130,000 net plus full expat benefits

Resident Manager – Philippines

Our client,  a large international group operating luxury Serviced Apartments equipped with elegant world-class amenities, combined with five-star service and the conveniences of home is looking for an experienced Resident Manager for this property in the Philippines, with approximately 200 full serviced apartments sits in the heart of the prime business and commercial district of the city. 

The ideal candidate should be a creative individual with outstanding product knowledge and an outgoing personality. You must be highly organized, results oriented, a motivator and someone whose strength lies in Rooms Division.

Must have EAM ROOMS background
No children (as location is remote)

Salary: USD $5000++

Single Unit General Manager – Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan

A well respected hotel group requires a Single Unit General Manager or Resident Manager looking for their first time General Manager role.  A European national is preferred who has come from a recognized international hotel group.

Salary – tax free US dollars and expat benefits offered

General Manager -Bagdad Iraq – Arabic Speaker

One of the world’s major Global Hotel Brands requires a General Manager for their brand new full service property opening in the city of Baghdad in Iraq.  This property consists of approximately 200 rooms, suites and busy restaurants.

This person must be a self-motivated Arabic speaking General Manager with experience in luxury residences in the Middle East.  Our client feels that strengths in Sales & Marketing and Rooms are paramount.  You must have a successful history of training staff, increasing revenues and profits of existing properties by implementing aggressive marketing initiatives, improving productivity, customer service and teambuilding.

The candidate should be very goal oriented, results driven and strives hard to meet high standards and leads a team to do the same.

They prefer single or married but no children as no schooling is available.

Base Salary: US $ 120,000 net + accommodation + hardship allowance.

General Manager – Pakistan

Our client in Pakistan requires a General Manager.

Requirements:

•           Must be fully conversant with budgeting process and the financial management of the hotel i.e. revenue and cost management
•           Candidate should be an all rounder with good knowledge in F & B (8 Restaurants) and Sales and Marketing
•           Must be able, together with his team to prepare sound Sales and Marketing Business Plan.
•           Must be extrovert in personality and adaptable as entertainment and attending high profile functions are frequent.
•           Candidate should be used to work in hard ship locations under difficult circumstances.
•           Must be completely fluent in English; any other language is considered an asset.
•           MUST be willing to sign up for a period of at least 2 years.

The successful candidate will be:

•Paid a salary of $5,000 US per month.
•Have a full board accommodation to stay in the hotel in a suitable apartment.
•Be provided with company car and mobile phone.
•Successful candidate and his spouse will be provided free medical care to the equivalent of 1 month’s salary.
•The applicant will, after the successful completion of one year, be entitled together with his spouse a return airfare to his country of origin and business class.

General Manager – China

One of the most respected hotel companies in the world and one of the largest is seeking a General Manager for their 500 room property in Shanghai, with extensive restaurants, conference and large banquet facilities, as well as health facilities. The Group's core business is the development of luxury properties as well as operations of Hotels and in Travel sector.  They require some one to assist as General Manager and coordinate the renovation of the hotel to a Hyatt, Ritz Carlton and St. Regis standard hotel. This post will lead to a multi-unit role in China or overseas.

Chief Financial Officer – Dubai, United Arab Emirates

This is not just a Hotel Financial Controller’s job, but a true “Operations” CFO who will make recommendations and not just do numbers.

The Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”) is responsible for all long-range financial matters and for establishment of company-wide financial and administrative objectives, policies, programs, and practices that ensure the company of a continuously sound financial structure.

You will perform strategic planning and budgeting, treasury functions, provide BUSINESS and FINANCIAL advices to CEO and the group’s Senior Management team.  You will control the flow of cash through the organization and maintain the integrity of funds, securities and other valuable documents.  The functional departments accountable by the CFO are Finance, Legal and Project Analysis. 

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE:
-        4 & 5 star Hotel experience in a Senior Financial role is mandatory. 
-        Middle East experience is an asset. 
-        International experience would be a big plus.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

University degree in Business Administration with specialization in Business Management, Accounting or Financial Management. MBA from a recognized university is preferred.
About 12-15 years of related experience of which a minimum of 4 years should be in a similar position.
Experience in sizable companies is required; multinational or listed companies much expected.
Experience in senior financial management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of solid financial management strategies.
Visionary with strategic thinking.
Experience in interpreting a strategic vision into an operation model.
Strong business sense.
Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent organization skills.
Demonstrated leadership ability, team management and interpersonal skills.
Strong decision making and risk management.
Excellent communications skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
A collaborative and flexible style, with a strong service mentality.
Fluency in English.

Vice President of Sales & Marketing– United Arab Emirates

This established hotel group is expanding in the UAE and owns franchises, give management and manage themselves luxury & mid-size range hotels. They are seeking a Vice President of Sales & Marketing who understands 4 Star and 5 Star brands.

This individual must be an experienced, self motivated and decisive sales professional with a proven track record in the hotel environment.  Ideally, the candidate should be working in the UAE at a senior level with a regional hotel group.

The candidate must be a hands on sales person, knowledgeable, capable and reliable with expertise gained in a range of functional areas that include: International sales team and account management that covers all market segments of business and corporate travel, MICE and meetings markets, leisure and tour operator sources, a broad range of marketing disciplines, financial planning and control, as well as strategic market planning and sales plan execution.

You must be culturally sensitive and team oriented with outstanding influential and networking skills combined with the presence and gravity necessary to be immediately credible and effective at all levels both externally and internally within the company.

The salary is about US $100k plus all expat benefits.

Hotel Manager Villas – Indonesia

A major well known real estate group, owning and operating award winning properties in Indonesia, is seeking a strong Hotel Manager for their new 5 star Villas opening in Bali, Indonesia early 2012.

A very strong, committed, hands on professional with solid "Rooms" background in similar 5 star luxury Villas is mandatory.  Pre-opening and opening experience will be an asset.

Excellent salary plus expat benefits will be given to the right candidate.

Single or married status is preferred.

CEO – Saudi Arabia

his person will take the company forward and needs to be more of a “leader type business man” rather than a hotelier. You must take full accountability for the profitability, operations, and standards and supervise the development process for their new properties and renovations, and upgrading projects for existing properties.

This CEO must develop a Strategic Plan to achieve the Company’s objectives. The Plan should include specific targets, financial plans and strategies to promote revenue, profitability and   growth of the organization. Implement the strategies, including the marketing strategy, contained in the Strategic Plan to ensure that annual targets are achieved. Periodically review financial statements and reports to determine progress and status in obtaining objectives and if required, recommend revisions in objectives and/or strategies in accordance with current conditions. Other responsibilities are to establish performance evaluation criteria and standards for the team and provide inspirational and motivational leadership by setting a personal example for achieving the - Company’s objectives.  This post will be based in Saudi Arabia. International experience outside of Saudi Arabia and preferably outside the Middle East is highly recommended.

 

General Manager – Oman

The client is seeking an Arabic speaking well experienced General Manager who should now be working for an International Hotel Chain as a GM at this time. This individual, would have a bright future if he is the right man for the job as he would be the first senior Executive to lead the Team and the “Pre-Opening” of their first 5* property. You must be very hands-on and a creative individual with an outgoing personality and an approach of ‘’thinking out of the box’’ and be different from the “normal” and “typical General Manager”.

Chief Operating Officer - Croatia

Experience in Croatia or speaking Croatian language is a plus, current European experience is mandatory.

This is for a group of up to 20 hotels. You must have a minimum of 5 years experience in senior management role with a proven track record in working with 4* & 5* properties. Someone who has experience with branded properties is preferred but is not mandatory.  You must be able to handle multi-property assignments as the owner has 24 properties but the assignment may cover only clusters of properties i.e. cluster of Luxury hotels or a cluster of beach resorts or a cluster of city hotels.

The gross salary offered is 150,000 Euros gross; plus bonus, depending on candidate’s particular experience matched to our client’s vision of the right candidate. Accommodation and car is provided.
